Uniting Across Borders for Urgent Climate and Nature Action
Climate change and the destruction of nature and of our common home knows no boundaries, and we recognize that to create real change, we are stronger together.
This fundraiser is for pioneering grassroots movements working tirelessly for climate justice, financial reform, and the rights of communities threatened by fossil fuel finance and environmental exploitation. Your contribution will help amplify the impact of movements such as BreakFree Switzerland, Action Justice Climat, Ecologistas En Acción, Fossielvrij NL or The Tipping Point UK. If you are a donor to any Grassroots Network for Climate Justice (GNCJ) movement please continue to donate to them directly also. This is an additional fundraising channel for all GNCJ members.
Funds raised will go directly towards organizing public campaigns, providing crucial data and analysis for social movements, facilitating citizen organization, and supporting direct peaceful legal action against exploitative practices. Together, we can foster a fair and just transition, hold powerful institutions accountable, and build a network of solidarity for a sustainable future:

Your donation, however small, further amplifies the Grassroots Network for Climate Justice (GNCJ) fundraising which has already raised over 100,000 CHF for its members (who have met in 2024, 2025 and will meet again in 2026). This next 100,000 CHF of this « We are Stronger Together » funding campaign will bring total funding to 200,000 CHF: towards 1,000,000 CHF for our « Million for a Billion » longer term funding campaign.
Purpose
In response to urgent need, grassroots movements from across Europe have joined forces to create an international network. Our aim is to drive immediate, decisive action. This network will amplify our collective voice and support, ensuring that those in power take responsibility and act now, not tomorrow.

- A financial system that respects nature, upholds ecological and social justice, and serves people above profit.
- Full respect for free, prior, and informed consent and the right to self-determination for all peoples.
Funding and Support: A Necessity, Not a Luxury
The success of grassroots activism depends on resources. As funding shrinks and costs rise, activists face increasing challenges. Sustainable action requires financial support for travel, materials, communications, legal and psychological aid, and fair compensation for organisers and campaigners. Without this, the movement’s reach and impact are limited at a time when expansion is most critical.

This international network brings together movements from five countries:
- France: Terre de Luttes, Action Justice Climat—fighting climate-destructive projects and supporting regenerative agriculture.
- Netherlands: Fossielvrij, Geef Tegengas—challenging fossil industries and building movements for a just transition.
- Spain: Ecologistas En Acción, ODG—leading campaigns for social ecology, financial justice, and defending the commons.
- Switzerland: BreakFree Switzerland, Collective Climate Justice—targeting fossil finance and advancing intersectional climate justice.
- United Kingdom: Zero Hour, Tipping Point—pushing for legislative change and mobilising communities for bold climate action.
